The Classic Steel range (4050, 4053, 4051, 4053HS) is the builder-grade steel line, single-skin or polystyrene-insulated, the easiest and fastest to install. The Premium Series is the polyurethane-foam-injected step up, with R-18 insulation and heavier panels that need dual-torsion-spring spec.
The Coachman series puts a composite wood-grain overlay on a steel core, giving the carriage-house look without the weight or maintenance burden of solid wood. Install workflow is essentially the steel workflow with extra care for the cosmetic finish. The Gallery Collection is similar in concept but with a stamped-steel carriage-house look rather than a wood overlay.
The Reserve Wood Limited Edition is genuinely solid wood, hand-crafted, and significantly heavier. Two-person crew, dual torsion, careful finish staging. Install labour reflects the panel weight and the slower pace required.

Generalist installers can install Clopay competently, but their quotes show more variance because the relationship to the manufacturer is transactional. For most homeowners, the authorised-dealer route is the safer choice. The quote variance is narrow, the warranty handling is clean, and the install is faster on average.
